Ryoji Mitsuhashi
Director of Business Development
As Director of Business Development at Moon in Tokyo, Ryoji helps identify “good problems” that can become the seeds of new businesses, and works alongside partners to explore potential solutions. Before joining Moon, Ryoji worked in PR producing corporate publications and branded content, and was a reporter for an industrial business newspaper, covering the early days of the digital content industry. Driven to write about fields he was personally passionate about, he joined a magazine focused on his longtime hobby of scuba diving, which took him to global locations including Tahiti, the Maldives, Palau, the Red Sea, and the Caribbean. Ryoji also supported the Japan launch of a major U.S. hotel booking platform and held a PR role at a U.S.-based travel review company. With a background in media, storytelling, and travel, he developed travel-focused media campaigns and launched an owned media platform that grew to more than one million monthly users. In recent years, Ryoji has spent more time in the mountains than the ocean, and after work can often be found at a bouldering gym, continuing to take on “good problems.”
