Vladimir Almonnord

Director of Research & Design

Vladimir (Vlad) Almonnord is the Director of Research & Design at Moon. He oversees a diverse team of Generalists & Specialists in Design (Product, Service, Strategic, etc.) and Research (Qualitative, UX/Design research, Market Research, etc.) and works with leadership on overall corporate strategy and operations. He also advises project teams throughout their journey, both at a strategic and hands-on level. Prior to Moon, Vlad has worked primarily in innovation and 0-1 business creation as a Strategic Designer & Researcher at Sony Creative Center (SF), BCGX (formerly known as BCGDV), and SamsungNext, where he built the UX Research practice from the ground up. He also worked in film as a Design Generalist on a variety of projects from prop and set design for commercials and music videos, to art direction, illustration, and UX/UI design for a proprietary social media app at Mirada Studios. With a deep passion and love for all the arts, you might spot Vlad at Yoyogi park freestyle dancing, taking a dance class at one of the many dance studios in Tokyo, or drawing at your local cafe. He also has a growing passion for physics, philosophy, and psychology as an ever-curious mind exploring the fragments of our reality and the human condition.
